Run the tag end of the line through
the eye of the hook. In the standing line make two
backward loops as shown in the drawing. The standing
line goes behind the tag end line.
The
second loop goes through the front of the first loop.
The tag end then goes
through the front of the second loop and bring the tag
end of the line down to the side of the lure.
While holding the tag
end of the leader and the lure stationary pull on the
end of the line going to the rod.
Many guides tie a Uni to
Uni knot from braid to leader. I learned to use
a surgeons knot from fly fishing and it has not
failed me yet. It is much smaller, simpler and
faster to tie. This is
just my 2 cents. You use what you are
comfortable with.
